Laying down Inside a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber

You’re probably looking at my picture above and thinking about how I got into a chamber and If I’m enjoying myself. No, it’s nothing bad and nothings wrong with my health. It’s the opposite, I’m improving my health for the better. What I’m laying down in the picture above is called a Hyperbaric Chamber and the overall medical term for this is called Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. By looking at these words, you rationally guessed what this is about. Yes, it’s a chamber where you breathe oxygen, but in reality, it’s more than just a oxygen tank, it’s behind cutting edge science and holds incredible benefits. A quick definition from the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy facility I visited in Los Angeles, states that:

Hyperbaric medicine is a medical treatment using oxygen and pressure to improve the body’s natural healing process, in which pressure greater than sea level is necessary to enhance the healing effects for clients. This is a non-invasive and painless treatment inside a chamber where you will lie down. In the process, the patient will inhale 100% oxygen while in a pressurized chamber, allowing the body to take in 100% oxygen towards where your body needs it most.”

So why is a healthy 20 something-year-old need oxygen therapy like me? Well the benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy or (HBOT) for short, is for everyone. The benefits not only expedites healing for people with current medical conditions, but also helps people who just want the overall benefits it holds. I for one am tired of living in a polluted air filled city like Los Angeles and wanted to see how it felt to be in one of these chambers after listening to Joe Rogan’s Podcast where his guest Justin Wren talked about all the benefits Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has to offer. One of the stories Justin Wren talked about with Joe was about a teen getting into a horrible car accident where doctors told him he would never walk, but after getting suggested HBOT, he later could walk and even run again, going against what every doctor thought otherwise. This even got Joe Rogan to try HBOT and is currently in the process of using the chamber as well.

From that point on, I had to try this magical device. After much research myself, I was hooked! I can see why even celebrities have gone ahead and purchased a chamber for themselves. If you do a little bit of searching, you could see celebrities such as Justin Bieber and Joe Rogan have possession of these chambers. Usually, you would have to go to a facility to dive into one, but celebrities have gone one step forward. Celebrities are attracted to the add-on benefits especially with the evidence of reverse aging. That’s right reverse aging!

A recent study from Tel Aviv University and Shamir Medical Center found a correlation of high-pressure oxygen in a pressurized chamber and a person’s telomere’s length. These telomere’s located at both ends of every chromosome are associated with aging and illness. DNA obtained from participant’s blood showed a increase in the length of telomeres by up to 38% after using a full hyperbaric treatment plan. That is an incredible percentage jump, especially when were talking about our own reverse-aging. Maybe we can all be Adaline from the movie “The Age of Adaline.”

Continued research shows HBOT even has FDA approval for 14 different types of conditions as a successful and expedited treatment listed below:

  • Air or Gas Embolism
  • Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
  • Clostridial Myositis And Myonecrosis (Gas Gangrene)
  • Crush Injury, Compartment Syndrome And Other Acute Traumatic Ischemias
  • Decompression Sickness
  • Select Problem Wounds
  • Severe Anemia
  • Intracranial Abscess
  • Necrotizing Soft Tissue Infections
  • Osteomyelitis (Refractory)
  • Delayed Radiation Injury (Soft Tissue and Bony Necrosis)
  • Skin Grafts and Flaps
  • Acute Thermal Burn Injury
  • Idiopathic Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss

This is more than just oxygen therapy, as mentioned in the article, it’s the ‘Holy Grail’ of medicine. When I jumped into the chamber, It was just like going on a plane, because you get this pressure difference where you have to clear your ears. I was in the chamber for about 60 minutes and I got to watch the next episode of Money Heist on Netflix I was going to watch anyway so I checked two things off my list. People worry about being claustrophobic, but I was pretty comfortable myself having that tendency as well. It’s over faster than you know it and you need about 20 treatments of 60-minute rounds for this to fully work on your body. Under Pressure Hyperbarics told me:

“ You breathe 21% Oxygen and much of it is going to the brain. With HBOT, your getting 100% pure oxygen under pressure that’s going all over your body’s cells and tissues.”

That makes sense where the excess oxygen can finally go throughout the body instead of all going towards the brain and major organs. This is huge for problem wounds, diabetic patients, and post-surgical procedures because of the accelerated healing abilities it provides.

In the next 10 years, I see HBOT slowly becoming mainstream to the point where normal salons and spas have chambers built-in for customers. When I said medical magic, I did not lie! The growing science and studies are done about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy are astounding. One of the benefits that have left me questioning what type of magic sorcery this is, is the reverse-aging capabilities being studied. That’s incredible, and I bet, after celebrities, regular people with no prior health conditions will jump on the bandwagon.

I want to thank Under Pressure Hyperbarics for hosting me for a HBOT session and teaching me everything about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
